Images of the new Leica Q2 Monochrom have leaked – and for the pricey camera that its surley going to be it, its looks quite sexy.
For those unfamiliar with Leicas current strategy, the Leica Q2 Monochrome is a remixed version of the “original” Leica Q2 which was launched back in March 2019.
We’ve already seen a James Bond themed Leica Q2 being announced (and leaked) – that was supposed to tie in with the launch of the New “No Time To Die” Movie, but both the movie and camera release have been pushed back due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
While the James Bond version of the Leica Q2 can be seen as a pinacle of luxury with its custom racing green colors and leather briefcase, the Q2 Monochrom version shines more as an example of classic understatement.
The Leica Q2 Monochrom – as the name implies comes in an all black (with some white accents) exterior, fitting for a black and white camera. Unlike Leicas other Monochrome cameras which came equipped with a higher resolution (such as the Leica M10 Monochrom with its 40MP sensor), rumors suggest that the Q2 Monochrom will come with the same specs are is colored counterpart.
With images now leaking, we can surely expect an announcement from Leica in Q4 of 2020.
