With Christmas around the corner, Retropro seems to have come up with a nice little stocking filler for film photographers.
Retopro – a brand licensee of the Kodak Company – has produced a series of aluminum film canisters with a 1970s color scheme and look. The film canisters are inspired by their smaller 1960s and 1970s counterparts – before the industry switched over to plastic film cases (which ironically are also almost considered “vintage”).
The company states:
“We are inspired by the selection of materials and colours, and wish to recreate a new version of the Kodak Film Case, only to make it even more practical and stylish,” the company writes.
While film cases are nothing new (Japan Camera Hunter released his own a few years ago) – Retopro’s cases do hit that vintage nerve.
The KODAK Film Case is available in 5 different colors – Blue and Yellow, Red and Yellow, Yellow and Silver, Silver, Black, and White. Each case is 5.8 inches by 2.2 inches by 1.8 inches, and holds up to 5 rolls of 35mm film.
Retopros KODAK Film Cases are available for pre-order now and should ship by December. If you fancy – order one here.
